Where's Sammy....?

Okay so its been a while... i'll admit it ive been putting it off and im only in here writing it now because its throwing it down outside.. haha...yes its not always sunny here........

So I left you last at the Jungle...well we left there successfully not been attacked by any leeches and headed on over to the Cameron Highlands. It was beautiful here...really green and Lush. This is the place where they have all the tea plantations and what not cos the land is so furtile....so we stayed here for 2 nights at a place called Fathers Guest House.... I was especially delighted cos i could drink as much tea as I wanted and I could actually order a bacon butty...Heaven! We had a little tour whist we here that took us around the attractions of the area. We went around a butterfly farm that freaked Lusy out.....flying creatures!!!!! They also had other insects and stuff there. I volunteered to hold a scorpion which the handler had been showing people, although before placing it in my hand he thought it funny to swing it round a few times by its tail before placing it in my hand. I nearly freaked.

So after Cameron Highlands we headed down to KL (Kuala Lumpur) on a bus that was on the windiest route possible. Both me and lucy were going green in the face...im suprised we didnt hurl! So we got to KL and checked into a place called Pudu Hostel.....we had the smallest smelliest room possible which we quickly checked out of the next day and into a nice guest house called Sunset guesthouse. So main objective of been in KL was so Lucy could hammer the shopping malls...which she did for 3 days solid...I thought my feet were gonna drop off. We did actually manage to see the Pertronas Towers but thats only because there was a shopping mall at the base of them. We also decided to have a pampering day....we started off with Lucy having a tattoo done at which I thought she was gonna pass out at cos of the pain and I had me belly button pierced....doesnt sound like pampering does it??!! So after that we went to have our hair done which turned out to be a total disaster. Lucy was having red high lights put in hers and i was to have my hair bleached to a lighter blonde...as i wanted to get a head start on the beach bronzed babe....yeah what eva!! So anyways when they revealed lucys new do we were pretty impressed it looked good....however when they revealed mine...I think I nearly had heart failure.....they had died my whole head bright yellow...I kid you not! Lucy just kept saying id get use to it but after venturing down the street and everyone was giving me double takes I new i wasnt gonna get used to it.
So after our new hair dos lucy wanted to get her nails done and have her eyebrows waxed. Whilst we were laid on opposit beds in the beauty parlour.....i had a fit of giggles....i thought i was gonna pee!!!!... I overheard the woman that was waxing Lucys eyebrows say to her that she had never waxed eyebrows before...at which it gave me a mental image of me and lucy walking back to our guesthouse that afternoon after a day of so called pampering with me having yellow illuminous hair and Lucy no eyebrows.........ahhh the stuff girls do eh?!! Oh and by the way im a brunette now.....next morning I sent Lucy to the shops to buy me some hair dye and some tomatoe sauce....mythical theroy is that if you put tomatoe kepchup on ya hair it helps the colour....well i was game for what ever help i could get...although i nearly chucked when i put it on my hair...not the greatest smells.........but eventually we sorted it and im now happy and brown and still have hair.

So anyways........if you dont know by now im travelling solo!! KL was the last stop for Lucy. I went to the airport with her and we both said our tearful good-byes. It was sad to see her go........

Going it solo........so first stop on my own and last stop in Malaysia was Penang - Georgetown. I loved it here. I stayed at 75 travellers rest and there was a great crowd there. I met some great new friend...did the usual sight seeing.... and ended up getting very drunk on 2 occasions. (Ive found out that its compulsory to drink if you travel alone...haha...im not complaining!!) So on one of the nights I was tipsy I cut off all this guys hair....but he was as drunk as i was although the next morning i was avoiding him incase he wanted to kill me....but it turned out that it looked quite good and he was impressed! Should put Hairdresser on my cv......... And the second time I got drunk was with this Aussie guy the night before leaving for Thailand...wasnt a good idea...all i can remember was laughing alot.........but i nearly missed my bus the next morning.....Jimmy the guy who worked there had to stall it while i frantically tried to pack my bag...still drunk no doubt, but managed to get on the bus. The driver was so mad at me....but ahhh who cares I fell straight asleep and was on my way to Thailand.
